Makers Mark is the only bourbon distillery to use pure, iron-free limestone spring water exclusively. It is sourced from a 10-acre limestone spring-fed lake at the distillery. They make whisky in bathces of less than 10 barrells. Distilled in an old copper doubler still the spirit is run off at relatively low proof maintaining its body. 8 years ageing in charred oak barrels adds sweet vanilla notes. Rich and incredibly smooth, with perfumed aromas of sweet vanilla oak and a lovely rich palate with a well rounded finish.
