In 1724 Remy Martin, a young winegrower in the Cognac region, founded his company. In 1972 the iconic VSOP bottle is launched, helping it become the world's best-selling cognac. All barrels are made exclusively from French Limousin Oak, which contributes to the aromatic development of the blended eux-de-vie. Predominantly vanilla, with a hint of liquorice. The roundness of summer fruits, especially ripe apricots and peaches with the impertinance of wild flowers, particularly violets.
