In 1962 Gilbert succeeded his father André Miclo in 1962. A strong family concern the distillery is situated in the heart of the Vosges mountains, in Alsace. The family concern perpetuates the time honored tradition of generation of peasants. Michael Miclo himself watches over the distillation working with methods learned from his father, or experimented himself. A dry, natural spirit made by distilling the fermented juice of raspberries grown on the slopes of the Vosges mountains. Fruity but dry and at its best when served ice cold.
