Chateau Teyssier, Grand Cru St Emilion

Chateau Teyssier, Grand Cru St Emilion

This well poised 2004 shows exactly what a great bottle of wine Jonathan can put together. A silky, velvety and modern style of St Emilion - a great offering that time and time again delivers such drinking enjoyment.

Jonathan Maltus has played a key part in the cult movement that has thrived in St Emilion since the late 1990’s. Based at Chateau Teyssier, his success has been built upon an ambitious, exciting, innovative and technologically advanced approach but strictly maintaining the vineyards’ terroir.

With a total of an 'rapidly expanding' 40 hectares under vine, his four prestigious SINGLE VINEYARD wines can be classed as the best examples in Bordeaux of preserving the unique and individual vineyard terroir – Le Dôme, Les Astéries, Le Carré and the white Clos Nardian. His three ESTATE WINES are Chateau Laforge, Chateau Grand Destieu and Chateau Teyssier which are all exceptionally high quality, reliable and well priced wines. The winemaking team includes the expert knowledge and experience of Gilles Pauquet, consultant winemaker at Chateaux such as Cheval Blanc & Figeac. All wines are hand picked, double sorted and vinified in a mix of oak and stainless steel.
