The peel of sweet oranges comes from Spain and more bitter orange peel comes from Curacao. The bitter Carribean oranges are of the Bigarade variety and are harvested when unripe. Fine brandy is re-distilled with the peels in red copper stills. The stills release essential oils that combine with delicate aromatic flavours from the peel giving complex, piquant and totally unique flavours. Vivid aromas and flavours of zesty oranges, a light, clean body and just a touch of sweetness at the finish.
