Originally, Rum was ‘discovered’ by 17th century Caribbean sugar growers who distilled the waste product from other manufacturing processes into a spirit known as ‘Kill Devil’. I Wood's 100 is one such rum, originating from what was known as British Guyana in South America. Distilled at The Diamond Distillery, Guyana. It is produced using a combination of spirit made in both pot and continuous stills, from the finest sugar cane grown along the banks of the River Demerara. It is matured for 1.5 to 3 years in oak before being blended. The sugar cane produced by this enormous life-giving river makes the sweetest sugar cane in the Caribbean.
